April was a triplet lamb who was rejected by her mother on a frigid, rainy day. The farmer who had these sheep opted to leave April to die, "naturally", out in the field. That is, until a visitor insisted on trying to save the pathetic little creature. April's rescuer bottle fed the hours-old baby until she was strong enough to be moved to the sanctuary, where we continued her intensive care. April grew and thrived, and celebrated her one year birthday this past spring.
